rathcycle SG i just now go coffeeshop ask uncle for a cup of kopi+sugar+milk and he stare at me and ask me since when did coffee had sugar, i sibei sia.... he say sweetness comes from the condense milk, more sweet = more milk
OasisBlue SG my mom say kopi tai is fu zhou hua or smth not canto... cuz my mom say coffee with milk in canto is kopic den without milk is kopi o... or smth lidat lol not sure
kokwhye SG Dai means bottom/under/base in canto… If you look at your kopi / kopi-o / teh / teh-o .. the sugar/condensed milk sinks to the bottom/base of the cup.. thus siew dai means less base.. means less sugar/milk.. some for the other way round of kar dai..
rathcycle SG i was buying dinner... then pass by coffeeshop and thinking of long time no drink coffee and this thread, so i ordered coffee lor.
